Chris BrukardThe artwork featured within Mission Hope Cancer Center is by well-known surf and beach scene photographer, Chris Burkard, who donated over 100 pieces of artwork to add to the healing environment. Well known as a unique visionary whose photography has the ability to catapult the viewer into the moment. At 26 years old Chris Burkard has served as a freelance photographer for numerous national and international publications, and is currently serving as staff photographer for Surfer Magazine. Along with his editorial contributions, Burkard has created a coffee table book "The California Surf Project", and continues to travel the world seeking to experience the most remote, rugged and untouched destinations that exist. Burkard is 26 years old and resides in Arroyo Grande with his family with his wife Breanne (a volunteer yoga instructor at Mission Hope Cancer Center).
